The Monk Brewery and Kitchen is situated in South Terrace, Fremantle, nearly opposite the iconic Sail and Anchor pub (formerly pub-brewery). It opened near the end of 2007 as the Mad Monk, but has recently undergone a slight change of name. The in-house brewery is based on the 600-litre DME kit which formerly operated (2000–2004) as the Nail Brewery in central Perth.
