The Three Ravens Brewing Co. established commercial operations in early 2003, specialising in cask-conditioned real ale. The company started brewing at a 300L batch scale, but upgraded to 1200L in 2005 to help to cope with growing demand. The company is dedicated to brewing beers of character which can be savoured and enjoyed for their robust flavour. The beer is the product of a craft brewing process which emphasizes quality over quantity, and uses only natural ingredients.
 
3 Ravens Real Ale is top-fermented, naturally carbonated, and unpasteurised. Beer for bottling is gently filtered to remove fermenter yeast, then primed with fresh yeast to initiate bottle conditioning. Five products are made: White (witbier), Blond (altbier), Bronze (pale ale), Black (stout), and, the most recent release, Dark (smoke beer).
